The Presidential Search Committee continues its work

Posted by Bank Street on November 13, 2013

As a reminder, the Committee members engaged in a listening tour of various constituencies, including Staff Council, Graduate School faculty and leadership, Children’s Program faculty and leadership, and union leadership. Members of the committee also attended an All College meeting and were able to engage in conversation with the attending members of the College community.

Additionally, a survey was sent to present and former students of both academic divisions, current and former parents, staff, faculty, donors, and trustees; all in an effort to obtain comprehensive feedback. We continue to hear directly from members of the College community regarding suggested names for consideration and ask that you continue to do so by sending an email to trustees@bankstreet.edu or to Akilah Rosado at arosado@bankstreet.edu.

We are pleased to report that we continue to be well supported by Storbeck Pimentel in our efforts and are in the process of reviewing candidates for consideration; having said that, the process is defined by thoughtful, quiet, focused efforts. The Search Committee met on October 11th and will meet this week.

As with all searches of this nature, there will be long periods of time in which we have little to report because of the need for confidentiality. Please be assured, however, that we are hard at work and optimistic about the results.
