What does it mean to proxy to another account? The GroupWise proxy feature allows you to manage another user's Mailbox and Calendar. Proxy lets you perform various actions, such as reading, accepting, and declining items on behalf of another user, within the restrictions the other user sets. Two steps must be completed before you can act as someone's proxy. First, the person for whom you plan to act as proxy must grant you rights in the Access List in Options. Second, you must add that user's name to your Proxy List so you can access his or her Mailbox or Calendar. How do I grant another user proxy rights to my mailbox?1. Login to GroupWise. 2. Go to the Tools menu and select Options 3. Double click on the security icon
4. Click on the Proxy Access tab. By default, there is a 'minimum user access' entry in the Access list. Highlight the entry and ensure that this entry has NO rights to your mailbox (no options below it are checked off).
5. Click on the Address book icon 6. Highlight the user in the Access list box and select the access rights you wish to grant this user by clicking in the appropriate box. 7. Click OK, and then Close to accept your changes.
