Quality New York (QNY), an NAEYC accreditation facilitation project, is a partnership among Bank Street College, Child Care, Inc., and Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies, with funding from United Way of New York City, the Heron Foundation, and The Picower Foundation. This program supports early childhood centers in their quality improvement efforts. The end goal is the achievement of NAEYC accrediation.

Each program is supported in several ways:

QNY is currently providing support to over 150 early childhood programs, in all five boroughs of New York City, that are seeking accreditation through NAEYC. Eighty three (83) centers have been accredited by NAEYC's accreditation academy with Quality New York's support!

There is a wide diversity of program types in the project, including Head Start, UPK, ACS child care and private centers. Programs enter QNY at various levels of readiness.

Applications are welcome all year round and participation is cost-free. Your only expense is towards the purchase of accreditation materials from NAEYC.
