Parent/Toddler Group Starting Fall 2007

The group will consist of eight parent/toddler dyads and will be facilitated by a psychologist, special education teachers and student intern. The format will include time for parents and children to play together with the support and guidance of developmental specialist, as well as a period for parents to meet together as a group to discuss issues relating to child development and parenting, while special education teachers continue to work with their children.

This group will be appropriate for children with communication, social-emotional, and developmental delays.

The Early Intervention program is funded and regulated by the New York City Department of Health. This group is no cost for children who are eligible for these services through Early Intervention. Parents not in Early Intervention are welcome to pay privately.
