Programs in Middle School Education (Middle Childhood certification, grades 5 to 9)

- Middle School Special and General Education Dual Certification
(leads to NY certification in general, special education, and inclusion settings, both as a generalist and as a specialist in the teachable subject in which the student has a background)
- Middle School Special Education
(leads to NY certification in special education and inclusion settings, both as a generalist and as a specialist in the teachable subject in which the student has a background; students must already hold certification in general education)
- Middle School Special and General Education / Dual Degree (with Columbia School of Social Work)
(leads to an MSEd in Education and an MSW in Social Work; leads to NY certification in general, special education, and inclusion settings, both as a generalist and as a specialist in the teachable subject in which the student has a background)
