How to Access a Shared Directory on the Network

To request a shared directory, please Email a completed Shared Area Request Form to the Help Desk.

There are three network share servers at Bank Street: 
BNKDATA1.SHARE or the S: drive
BNKMSM1.SHARE or the T: drive
PUBS.SHARE or the P: drive
The following documentation assumes the shared directory is on BNKDATA1.

PC Users

Once you are logged into the network, double click on the my computer icon on your desktop.
Network1:

This will open up a window - double click on the appropriate drive letter (S:, T:, or P:) to see the shared areas you have access to.
Network2:

MAC Users

While in finder, click on the GO menu and select CONNECT TO SERVER

Choose the appropriate server to connect to
BNKDATA1.BANKSTREET.EDU
PUBS.BANKSTREET.EDU
BNKMSM1.BANKSTREET.EDU
Network3:
And Click CONNECT

When prompted for a username and password, enter your Novell username and password
Network5:
then click CONNECT:

This will bring up a window where you will choose a volume to mount. 
Choose the appropriate volume:
BNKDATA1.SHARE
PUBS.SHARE or
BNKMSM1.SHARE
Network6:

Once logged in, a window will open showing  the shared directories you have access to.

Be sure to logout when you are done.  Click on the EJECT button next to BNKDATA1.SHARE
