Position Vacancy - Educational Technology Coordinator
                              (permanent, half-time position)

 

Responsibilities


The Technology Coordinator reports to the Head of School and is responsible for all issues relating to technology at the school. The responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to the following areas:

  • Develop, coordinate, and teach workshops and classes on instructional and administrative applications for microcomputers and related technologies.
  • Provide technical curriculum assistance regarding hardware usage, software applications, computer technology, and the general instructional use of technology in the classroom.
  • Assist in the integration of technology applications across the K-8 curriculum.
  • Working with the College's CIS department, to develop, update, and maintain the school's inventory of hardware and software.
  • Trouble-shoot problems relating to hardware and software.
  • Establish systems for educators to access, preview, or receive training in hardware usage and software applications.
  • Communicate information about training services and research.
  • Assist with development of, and participate in, various technology user groups.
  • Model staying current with technological knowledge and skills.
  • Serve as a liaison of technology to the subject area leaders and division coordinators.
  • Coordinate activities with the College's network administrator and CIS support infrastructure
  • Serve on the Schools Curriculum committee and College-wide Technology committees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head of school.
  • Support the school and its leadership.

 


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Educational Technology
  • At least 3 years experience working in schools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

 


Start Date      September 1, 2008


Salary            Dependent on experience
