Position Vacancy - Special Education Itinerant Teacher
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized special education services for children ages 3-5
- Develop curriculum and goals for children on caseload
- Travel to a variety of preschool settings and children≠s homes to provide services
- Coordinate cases and team meetings
- Responsible for daily session notes, quarterly/annual progress reports and IEP goals
- Collaborate with parents, schools, and related service providers to ensure integration and efficacy of services
- Attend mandatory supervision meeting and staff development days
- Plan, coordinate and attend CPSE and CSE meetings
- Maintain case records according to agency and Department of Education guidelines
Qualifications
- NYS Early Childhood Special Education a must; Dual Degree in Social Work preferred, not required
- Knowledge and experience with CPSE regulations and guidelines
- Experience as a head teacher in special education
- Experience as a SEIT
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Salary Dependent on experience
