ABOUT I-LEAD...

The program provides an enriching, cooperative, learning environment for scholars to help them expand and strengthen their academic skills, explore their college and career interests, and develop a foundation and awareness of key leadership principles.

- Summer of the 1st Year:
The scholars experience a three-week, residential Summer Institute that is designed to help them grow as a learner and a leader.
- Sophomore Year:
The scholars participate in a PSAT preparatory course, an After School Program, a Saturday Academy; and apply to and participate in an I-LEAD-approved summer program.
- Summer of the 2nd Year:
The scholars spend the summer participating in one of the following programs: Travel Abroad, College for H.S. Students, Leadership Experiences, Community Service.
- Junior Year:
The scholars improve their academic and social skills participating in a PSAT preparatory course, an SAT preparatory program, a three-day college tour, two leadership development weekends, a college essay writing workshop and an I-LEAD-approved summer experience.
- Summer of the 3rd Year:
The scholars spend the summer participating in one of the following programs: Travel Abroad, College for H.S. Students, Leadership Experiences, Community Service.
- Senior Year:
The scholars prepare to apply to colleges by participating in two leadership development retreats, and workshops on financial aid, interviewing skills and college survival skills.
