Lee Llambelis is General Counsel to Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr.  Ms. Llambelis, who was raised in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, served for ten years as an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan.  At the DA's office, she was a prosecutor in the Special Prosecutions Bureau conducting white collar investigations.  She was also in the Official Corruption Unit, investigating and prosecuting corruption in the Police Department and the criminal justice system.  After leaving the DA's office, Ms. Llambelis was Director of Government and Community Relations at The New York Botanical Garden.  Prior to her law career, Ms. Llambelis was an Assistant Press Secretary to Mayor Edward I. Koch.  A graduate of the Academy of Mount Saint Ursula, Ms. Llambelis received her Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center and holds a degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.  She has also been a Coro Foundation Fellow in Public Affairs and an exchange student at La Universidad de Los Andres in Bogota, Columbia.  Ms. Llambelis is married to Ellis Cose, an author and a Contributing Editor at Newsweek Magazine.  She has a daughter, Elisa Maria.
