Summer Experiences Attended by Scholars During their 10th & 11th Grade Summer
We require our scholars to commit to a minimum of two weeks during their 10th and 11th grade summers by participating in a variety of independent summer programs. Our belief is that participation in specialized summer programs enriches students academically, socially, and intellectually and develops their personal and academic portfolios so that they are both more competitive college applicants and better-rounded human beings. Our students have varied interests; some aspire to become doctors and journalists while others plan on becoming lawyers, engineers, and entrepreneurs. The summer programs that our scholars attend have a strong academic foundation, offer opportunities to explore career and personal interests, and provide experiences that allow students to take risks and accept challenges.
