- The Junior Statesmen Summer School
- The Junior Statesmen Summer School offers a rigorous academic challenge to high school students who have a passion for politics and government. The curriculum features three college-level courses: Advanced Placement American Government, Honors Constitutional Law, and Speech. The collegiate academic environment stresses substantial reading, research, and writing. Students reside in the university residence halls and use classrooms, libraries and recreational facilities. Programs are conducted at Yale, Stanford, Georgetown, Northwestern, and Princeton.

- This program is an internship available with the Manhattan District Attorney's office. Students must reside in Manhattand and be between the ages of 14 and 18 (if still in high school). Qualified students whould send a resume and an essay explaining their interests in law.

- National Hispanic Institute - Youth Legislative Session
- This is unlike any other leadership program. It starts out as an imaginative simulated game, then takes on a life of its own, developing into a virtual reality with real life challenges and consequences. During the program, participants embark on a journey of self-discovery, connecting with other Latinos from high schools nationally and internationally. Together they assess the promise and potential of a community rooted in a reality of dual cultures. Critical thinking - collaboration - influencing outcomes - emerge as essential skills to facilitate their success as a leader in the 21st century Latino community.

- NYPD Youth Police Academy
- The New York City Police Department seeks to provide innovative and effective programs for the City's young people. The Office of the Deputy Commissioner Community Affairs, Youth Police Academy, is such a program. It is designed to establish a positive relationship between the Police Department and the City's youth.
The goals of the academy are: To enhance responsible citizenship, to provide positive interaction with police officers and to educate young people about the challenges and responsibility of police work, and to encourage young people to take part in other youth programs offered by the Police Department such as: the Law Enforcement Explorers, Police Cadet Corps and the Police Athletic League.

- US Naval Academy
- The US Naval Academy Summer Seminar offers the opportunity for rising high school seniors to visit the Naval Academy for one week during the summer. Students will experience all aspects of the Naval Academy including academic programs and midshipmen life. Furthermore, students will receive an overview of the Navy and Marine Corps service options.

- World Debate Institute
- National High School Policy Debate Workshop - Two week intensive program to prepare high school students to debate the national policy debate topic for 2006-2007. Novice, varsity, and super-varsity programs. Nationally noted faculty and topic area experts. Twelve practice debates, huge evidence set produced by entire workshop, and comprehensive theory and skill instruction.
National High School Public Debate Workshop - Knowing how to communicate your ideas in a meaningful way is fundamental to personal and professional success in the 21st century. This program helps students build these skills in an enjoyable and stimulating environment. Students will acquire communication and analytical skills through participating both in workshops and events, including: Public speaking workshops with individualized and supportive instruction; case-building workshops and exercises to train students in composing advocacy messages; and refutation and analysis sessions to train students to critically evaluate and analyze the ideas and presentations of others.
