Vision Statement
To ensure that all underserved and underrepresented youth have equal access to the resources necessary to realize their potential and make positive contributions to society.

Mission Statement
To build a community in which underserved and underrepresented youth create positive futures for themselves and others by increasing their motivation, embracing personal accountability, and strengthening their academic and leadership skills within the context of civic engagement and lifelong learning.

Values

  • All youth need high expectations to realize their individual potential.
  • All youth need developmentally appropriate and safe environments in which to grow and flourish.
  • All youth need to develop a personal code of ethics.
  • All youth will learn and succeed if given access to a full range of mentoring opportunities and other appropriate resources.

Goals

  • To provide students a nurturing and trusting environment, with clear boundaries, in which to learn and grow.
  • To provide youth with opportunities to identify and develop their individual voices and talents.
  • To graduate critical thinkers with solid emotional, social and academic skills who are prepared for postsecondary education and/or meaningful employment.
  • To develop in students a lifelong desire to learn and to create positive changes in society.
