What is Lucy's List?

Beginning October 1, Lucy's List will be a series of e-mail listservs open to all Bank Street College Faculty and Staff to discuss topics of shared interest. It is a wonderful chance to interact with your larger community of colleagues in ways that might not otherwise be possible and to learn more about projects and activities related to your own practice. Ever wanted to ask a question about what books other professionals are reading on a certain topic? This is the place to ask this question.

Topics will be facilitated by volunteers and include a range of items from announcements of professional opportunities, sharing resources such as books and articles, to planning for cross-divisional activities. Other related contributions by listserv participants are both encouraged and welcome.

As a starting point, two groups have been formed. The first one, organized around the topic of Early Adolescence and Adolescence will be facilitated by Farhad Asghar.

The second listserv, around the topic of Early Childhood Education, will be facilitated by Meredith Lewis.

Other topics will be added in the near future.  If you are interested in facilitating a group, please contact Toni Gifford (tgifford@bankstreet.edu).

Who can join Lucy's List?

At this time participation on the listserv is limited to Bank Street faculty and staff and as interest grows, additional topics will be added. Each of these will be announced via e-mail and in print.

How do I sign up?

Signing up is simple.

To sign up for the Early Adolescence and Adolescence Listserv: Send an e-mail to requests@listserv.bankstreet.edu with Subscribe Adolescence in the body of the message. A confirmation Email will be sent to your inbox with further instruction.

To sign up for the Early Childhood Listserv: Send an e-mail to requests@listserv.bankstreet.edu with Subscribe Earlychildhood in the body of the message. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your inbox with further instruction.
