Click here to skip to STATE MANDATED TRAINING ON SCHOOL VIOLENCE PREVENTION TEWS501N STATE MANDATED TRAINING IN CHILD ABUSE IDENTIFICATION AND REPORTING TEWS500N SECTION 7 SECTION 8 Christine Low, LCSW, is the Clinical Director of the multidisciplinary Child Advocacy Center and the Child Protection Coordinator at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Since beginning her work with child abuse victims and their families in 1993, she has served as Secretary for the Manhattan Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect, as a member of the Administration for Children's Services Interdisciplinary Review Panel, and as a member of the School District 4 Child Protection Committee. She continues to serve on the Mayor's Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect. Deb Vilas is a child life specialist, social worker and educator. She has worked with children and families affected by illness and trauma for 15 years in the NewYork area, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and Bellevue hospitals. Currently, she teaches in the graduate program at the Bank Street College of Education, teaching and advising future teachers and child life specialists. Deb also does consulting work with Bellevue Hospital and the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit.

Lauren Hyman Kaplan, MA, is a consultant and school counselor in the field of social emotional learning, emotional intelligence, and violence prevention. She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling and Guidance from NYU and is the co-author of the "Interpersonal Violence Prevention Resource Guide for Parents and Educators" (New York State Department of Education, 2002). She has taught Kindergarten and has trained administrators, counselors, teachers, and parents at public and private schools around the United States and the world.
Damaris Miranda, LMSW, PsyD, is the Coordinator of the Family Center at the Alliance for School Mental Health, a program of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. She is also a school consultant whose work focuses on the areas of family engagement and school culture change, behavior management, violence prevention, and bullying.
