Press Release BANK STREET CELEBRATES ANNUAL FALL FAIR New York, October 1- The Bank Street School for Children, the demonstration school for the Bank Street College of Education, will host its annual Fall Fair on Saturday, October 16, 2004, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Bank Street College of Education, 610 West 112th Street (between Broadway and Riverside Drive). This exhilarating day of family fun is open to the public and admission is free. An Upper West Side fall tradition, the Fair is a colorful extravaganza for children and adults. The Fall Fair features an outdoor street fair component that includes a petting zoo, a junior obstacle course, a large inflatable slide, a medieval stone rubbing table, a farmers' market, a barbecue, popcorn and cotton candy machines, and live music! The Fair also fills up Bank Street's building on West 112th Street, with games and entertainment, including Looney Lenny, on the second floor, the ninth floor Arcade, with prizes including Wacky Wire, Penalty Shot, Wak-a-Rat and Shoot Out, and a Moon Castle Jump, plus Pop-o-Shot Basketball, Pitching Cage, Skee Ball and a putting green. The Bank Street building will also have a display of children's arts and crafts in the gym, including make-your-own charm bracelets, the NY Kids Club, an extensive used book market, home-baked treats and specialty foods, Bank Street merchandise, a flea market (kids' toys, games, and clothing) and vendors selling gifts and crafts (ceramics and jewelry) ˜start your holiday shopping early! The proceeds from the Fair benefit the Bank Street School for Children, which provides a robust financial aid program and an innovative, high-quality educational program for the School's socio-economically diverse student body.
