The Transitions for New Educators website is designed to help recent graduates find information and resources about the issues commonly facing new educators.
Our induction website contains several elements that link new educators to teaching resources both internal and external to Bank Street. The elements include:
- Yellow Pages: This section offers links to other websites, with a focus on curriculum across the content areas, assessment, classroom management, work with a range of learners, work with families, and social equity issues. There are also links to a number of Bank Street programs that offer professional development opportunities.
- Helpful Tips for Educators: New and experienced educators contribute digital photographs, downloadable forms, and short articles related to a seasonal theme. This section also contains "Book of the Season," a short book review by an experienced educator.
- Announcements of Events and Services: This section includes links to events sponsored by the Graduate School and Alumni Association, courses offered by Bank Street's New Perspectives (Continuing Education) Program and external institutions, such as the Seminars on Science courses offered through our partnership with the American Museum of Natural History; and other Induction offerings.
