Instead of introducing them to fitness through an organized sport, that creates imbalances and pattern overloads, the Grass Roots Fitness Project prepares children for a lifetime of movement. We offer a balanced conditioning program using a variety of drills that involve degrees of coordination to develop body awareness and motor skills. For example, participants will be asked to throw and jump using both sides of the body. Because kids are often unaware of the impact of physical activity on their life long level of health, we believe in educating young people about fitness and motivating them to be active.
