Basketball

The after School Program offers a Basketball class that includes drills in shooting, dribbling, rebounding, offense and defense. After that we play ball! This class is for 10/11s and up. The class meets from 3:30PM to 4:30PM. 17 Sessions $425

Rock Band Vocal Workshop New!

10s & UP  Felicia Michael
This workshop is available to singers in the Upper School Rock Band program. Singers will work on rock vocal style, performance and technique in preparation for the end-of-semester Rock Band concert. Felicia Michael has been working with the Rock Band program for the past two years and is an experienced live and studio vocalist. 17 Sessions $440

Tuesday

Japanese Culture  New!

9/10s and UP  Misako Sassa
Students will be introduced to Japanese music, pop culture, mango (age appropriate), language, history and food. Japanese cooking class will be held on the regular basis where students will learn about Japanese traditional food and ingredients. We'll make some trips to a Japanese grocery, book store and fish market to explore where the ingredients come from, to learn the anatomy of whole fish and how it can be cooked and see beautiful art work and literature. Students also will be introduced to Japanese art and craft which include origami and calligraphy. The aim of this program is to broaden students' view and understanding about other culture while having fun. 19 Sessions, This includes a $35 material fee, $550.

Play On!

9/10s and Up  Chris Harbour
Participants transform into actors and playwrights. Students learn acting and analysis skills through theater games, and rehearsing monologues and scenes. Using improve students create characters and writhe their own short plays. There will be a professional actor from TV or Broadway who will come and perform. Students will then analyze to reinforce the curriculum. The class culminates with a student performance as an actor or playwright. 19 Sessions, $510

Wednesday

Ultimate Frisbee/Flag Football  New!

10 and Up  Roll America Coaches
Flag football is a no contact game that is fast moving and fun. Learn basic to advanced football techniques, passing, catching and running plays. Then break into teams and play a game. Ultimate Frisbee is a fast action game of running, throwing and catching. Once basics of the game are learned it is non-top fun. You will also learn some great "trick" moves. 12 Sessions, $420 Ends December 16th.

This year we will continue the tradition of performing one play. We need a year's commitment to "As You Like It." Final performance is June 4th. May 28th will be an additional technical rehearsal. Pizza will be provided. 34 Sessions, $850 or first payment $425.

Fridays

Jazz/Hip-Hop Step

9/10s & UP  Carlita Ector
Develop your creative expression and personal style in this action packed class which includes hip hop, jazz and step dancing! Students will love creating rhythms with their hands, feet and other props. You will learn the basic fundamentals of jazz while incorporating hip-hop choreography to create exciting routines and combinations. Students are also encouraged to bring their own ideas and choreography to class to share with their friends. 15 Sessions, $405.

Fashion Design Class II  New!

Nelly Agron
Learn to develop and draw fundamental fashion figures and garment details. Learn principals of color. Work with pencil, colored pencils and markers. Design your own full collection of swimwear. This is not a sewing class. Nelly Agron is a designer and dressmaker. She has created costumes for Broadway, as well as the Julliard School. 15 Sessions, $405.

Sports sampler II

10 and Up  Roll America coaches
In this diverse multi-sport program, each week children will be introduced to a different sport, learn new skills, and then separate into teams to play a game. Sports include Baseball, Football, Floor Hockey and more. Students will also play Ultimate Frisbee, Power Ball, and an array of other great games to keep them involved in a world of movement, variety, and fun. Coaches are all trained, kid-friendly athletes with a focus on sportsmanship and teambuilding. 9 Sessions: $345. Fee with Our Place through February 12th $405.
