Parent and Teacher Sites
- New York State Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCRRs) provide services to parents and day care providers in every county of New York State. If you are a child care provider, or are thinking about becoming a child care provider, the CCRR can be an important resource for you as well. They provide technical assistance and training.
- Pre-K Now: Encouraging Learning at Home: Parents and families will find a variety of resources that can help make the most your child's natural inclination to learn.
- Teachers for a New Era: This site provides new teachers with support to guide their practice. Great links and ideas are overflowing!
- A Place of Our Own: A Sesame Workshop program, A Place of Our Own, has a website which shares ways to help children acquire cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills, as well as nurture language and literacy development. The site also highlights local and state resources for child care providers and the children in their care.
- Child Care Information Exchange: A site with information for parents and teachers.
- Early Childhood Today: Scholastic's Early Childhood Today provides educators with resources and activities to use in the classroom as well as learning extensions to be used at home.
- Parent and Child Magazine: Scholastic's Parent & Child enhances the learning link between home and school. Guided by experts in child development and education, the most current and important research is translated into everyday language to help parents understand their children's emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Teaching Pre-K through 8 Magazine: This magazine offers activities and encourages ideas, and provides a bulletin board to chat with other teachers.
- NYS Teaching Certification Information: NYS Office of Teaching Initiatives provides information for obtaining your teaching certificate, certification requirements, exam information, as well as other frequently asked questions

- The Alliance for Quality Education: A coalition of over 200 organizations of parents, children's advocates, schools, teachers, clergy, labor unions, business leaders and others who believe that every child in New York State deserves a quality education.
- The Center for Early Care and Education: A statewide partnership convened by Child Care, Inc. and the Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy (SCAA), advocates for investment in quality and promotes planning, coordination, and implementation strategies that strengthen early care and education in New York State.
- Child Care, Inc: The Child Care, Inc. website offers general information about childcare and early education, policy issues confronting New York State and New York City, and links to many other websites.
- Child Care and Early Education Research Connections: This is a new website designed to promote high-quality research and the use of that research in policy making. It is a collaborative project led by the National Center for Children in Poverty.
- Child Care that Works Campaign: A statewide coalition of parents, advocates, employers and providers working toward high-quality, affordable, and accessible early care and education programs for all New York families.
- Children's Defense Fund: CDF educates the nation about the needs of children and encourages preventive investment before they get sick or into trouble, drop out of school, or suffer family breakdown.
- Child Trends: Child Trends is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization dedicated to improving the lives of children by conducting research and providing science-based information to improve the decisions, programs, and policies that affect children and their families.
- The Committee for Economic Development: An independent, nonpartisan organization of business and education leaders that released the groundbreaking report, Preschool for All: Investing in a Productive and Just Society.
- Early Care and Education Collaborative: A site that provides more information on the value of early education and how to build public support.
- EarlyChildhood.org: This website has been developed by the NYS Council on Children and Families' Head Start Collaboration Project to support professional development and improve the quality of early childhood and school-age programs.
- NYC Early Childhood Professional Development Institute: This website has been developed by early childhood professionals in NYC to support teachers, researchers and advocates in the field of ECE in identifying where trainings and resources are available to support their causes.
- Early Childhood Strategic Group: The Early Childhood Strategic Group is a partnership committed to developing a comprehensive early care and education system in New York City.

- Winning Beginnings: Winning Beginning New York is a statewide campaign to inform lawmakers and the public about the benefits of early learning.

- The Cornell Early Childhood Program: The Cornell Early Childhood Program is a network of Cornell faculty and staff, other university faculty, policy-makers, and practitioners linked together through their interest in young children and their families. The mission of the program is to integrate applied research with teaching, extension outreach, and demonstration in ways that promote greater understanding of young children and their families, and contribute to policies and practices that enhance child growth and development.
- Education Commission of the States: The ECS is an interstate compact created to improve public education by facilitating the exchange of information, ideas and experiences among state policymakers and education leaders.
- Education Week: The primary mission is to help raise the level of awareness and understanding among professionals and the public of important issues in American education. This journal covers local, state, and national news and issues from preschool through the 12th grade. They also provide periodic special reports on issues ranging from technology to textbooks, as well as books of special interest to educators.
- National Center for Early Learning and Development: NCEDL focuses on enhancing the cognitive, social, & emotional development of children from birth through age eight. NCEDL is a national early childhood research projectsupported by the US Department of Education's Office of Educational Research and Improvement.
- National Institute for Early Education Research: The National Institute for Early Education Resarch (NIEER) supports early childhood education initiatives by providing objective, nonpartisan information based on research.
- National Association for the Education of Young Children: The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is the nation's largest and most influential organization of early childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of programs for children from birth through third grade.
