Dayna-Joy Chin is an Equity Specialist at the Center on Culture, Race, and Equity. She has experience with various aspects of educational programming and data management as a history teacher, instructional coach, and Program Director. Dayna-Joy has worked with a variety of educational organizations & non-profits in New York City, the Department of Education, and national Teacher Education programs as an educational consultant. Dayna-Joy has extensive experience writing and facilitating learning experiences addressing racial identity development, culturally responsive teaching practices, and diversity, equity, and inclusiveness. Her facilitation practice is grounded in centering student voice and multi-partial facilitation strategies which use dialogue to balance social power.
Dayna-Joy graduated from Brown University with a BA in Africana Studies and BA Human Development in Education, and holds a Masters in Teaching in Social Studies Education from Georgia State University.
