Junior Counselors (General)

Junior Counselors and Acting Junior Counselors help support the group in whatever way the Head and Assistant Counselors see fit. They help supervise the daily activities as well as help facilitate group management. Juniors are allowed to be alone with a small group of campers. Possible Bus Liaison or After Camp Liaison (ACL). Junior Counselors must be over 16 years of age and must have attended the Camp's Leadership Development Program. In order to work at the Bank Street Summer Camp applicants must be authorized to work in the United States, which includes having a valid social security number.

Head Counselor (After Camp, 2:30 -4:30)

After Camp Head Counselors design a six to eight week curriculum that can be taught in one hour increments twice a week. Some of the focuses for this coming summer are Art, Cooking, Sports, Science, Coding and Technology. This is a part time position but will still require coming to staff meetings. 

Head Counselor (Science, Technology, Coding)

The Bank Street Summer Camp is seeking Head Cousnelors with experience teaching Science, Technology, Coding, Engineering and Math for students between the ages of 7 and 13.<br /><br />Head Counselors are responsible for planning daily curriculum, supervision of daily activities, facilitating group management and are the team leader for staff members in each group. It is up the Head Counselor to regulate and maintain supervision of all campers within their group at all times, including but not limited to parks, playgrounds, trips, transportation vehicles and classrooms. When families arrive in the morning, Head Counselors should be greeting families as they enter. Head Counselors are also the only counselors (except for Supervisory Staff) who are allowed to communicate with parents with respect to the program and/or campers within the program. Head Counselors are the Safety Counselors for their group and are certified in both RTE (Responding to Emergencies) and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Head Counselors must be over 21 years of age. Bachelor's Degree preferred. In order to work at the Bank Street Summer Camp applicants must be authorized to work in the United States, which includes having a valid social security number.

Assistant Counselors (General)

Assistant Counselors support the Head Counselors at all times. Support means both doing what the Head Counselor needs them to do over the course of the day but also being able to step in as the Head Counselor when the Head Counselor is not in the room or absent for the day. Assistants assist in planning curriculum, help supervise the daily activities, help facilitate group management and, in the absence of the Head Counselors, become the group leaders. Possible Bus Liaison or After Camp Liaison (ACL). Assistant Counselors must be over 18 years of age and must have worked for the camp for at least 3 years. In order to work at the Bank Street Summer Camp applicants must be authorized to work in the United States, which includes having a valid social security number.
