Bank Street School for Children and Family Center, New York City’s premier progressive school and a leader in childhood education and development, is proud to host its annual Fall Fair on Saturday, November 16th from 10am to 3pm.
“The Fall Fair is an event that the School for Children looks forward to annually,” says Dean Alexis Wright. “It is an exciting opportunity that provides financial support to the school while engaging not only our school families, but the larger surrounding community as well.”
The event will take place on 112th Street between Broadway and Riverside Drive, rain or shine. Parents and children are invited for an afternoon of games, food, music, exciting performances, raffle drawings (including an iPad Mini, Kindle Fire and other exciting prizes), bouncy castles, face painting, handmade items for purchase, arts and crafts, and a used toy sale. Bank Street’s notable book sale will also take place and is offering 50 percent off clearance item. In addition to Bank Street’s commitment to going green, the fair will also be collecting electronics (cell phones, chargers, VCRs, etc.) for a recycling initiative.
For 15 years, Bank Street has raised up to $35,000 annually in support of families in need of financial aid thanks to this annual celebration. Through the community’s support of Bank Street’s annual fair, they are able to provide students, despite their financial need, with an exceptional education.
