Celebrating the Straus Center
Practical Perspectives on the Future of Early Childhood
To celebrate the launch of the Straus Center for Young Children & Families, Bank Street will host a panel discussion on the opportunities ahead in the field of early childhood education, moderated by our graduate faculty member Virginia Casper, with alumni practitioners working in a variety of child care and educational settings. The event will feature a keynote presentation from New York University professor Lawrence Aber, an expert in child development and social policy.
This will be a hopeful conversation about opportunities in educating young children and supporting their families now and in the future with a lens toward both policy and practice.
Dr. Lawrence Aber, Board Chair for NYU’s Institute of Human Development and Social Change
Virginia Casper will moderate a conversation with four Bank Street graduates currently working with young children and families in various settings who will provide their practical perspectives on the opportunities they see in the field.
