Job Search Bootcamp for teachers is a 1-day intensive focused on career development for teachers looking for their next role. Workshops are modular! Teachers can attend any of the workshops of their choice.
Feel prepared and empowered to make the next step in your education career. Gain valuable insight on what recruiters look for on your resume, tackle difficult interview questions in a low-pressure environment, and identify what is and how to find your true school fit.

This bootcamp series is hosted by Selected (, an online matching platform for teachers and urban schools, in collaboration with Bank Street College Graduate School of Education.

Featured Speaker: Samson Woo, Teacher Community & Support Services at Selected. Charter school operations and recruitment.
  • Revamp Your Resume & Clinic: 3:00pm – 4:15pm 
    Identify what hiring managers/recruiters look for in top notch resumes, strategies to improve, pitfalls to avoid, and get the opportunity to have your resume reviewed - bring your most recent resume to this workshop!
  • Speed Interviewing: 4:15pm – 5:30pm 
    Tackle an assortment of interview questions provided by our partner schools in a low-pressure environment with other candidates
  • Defining & Finding Your School Fit: 5:30pm - 7:00pm 
    Engage in self-reflection, define your needs as a teacher, strategies to use to assess whether a school is right for you, and making an informed choice for your career.
