Miriam Moreno Pedraja

Miriam Moreno-Pedraja received her B.A.in education from the State University at Oneonta, her M.A.in Bilingual Education from SUNY at Albany and her M.Ed.in School and District Administration from Bank Street College of Education. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in a dual language program and moved onto a myriad of administrative positions throughout New York City: Field Instructional Specialist for Paraprofessionals, Bronx Regional Coordinator of ELL students with Special Needs, District Administrator for Bilingual Education and then as an Instructor/Advisor at Bank Street College of Education. Since 1997, she has been an administrator; first as an assistant principal and now for the last 12 years as principal of the Amistad Dual Language School. In 2009, Miriam was nominated and accepted into the Cahn Fellowship Program for Distinguished New York City Principals
