Amazing Staff. Remarkable Campers.
Camp staff is made up of graduate students from the Graduate School, alumni from the Graduate School and the School for Children as well as various outside specialists, teachers and professionals in their fields.
One third of campers go to the Bank Street School during the year, making a large portion of the camp body from other schools in the New York City area. Many campers return to camp as counselors because of their positive experience as campers.
Bank Street Summer Camp is among the few camps accredited by the American Camp Association in New York City.

Why go to Camp?
“This was our first foray into camp in NYC and my daughters LOVED it. Both really discovered new strengths and skills in themselves, and became more confident over the 6 week camp period. They enjoyed coming every day to their individual camps and really missed it when it was all over. They made new friendships and can't wait to return next year! So as a parent, I was just delighted as at age 10 and 15, entering a camp where many campers have attended for years, can be scary. But Bank Street was all encompassing. A really nice experience we'll be sure to repeat!”
“I think bank street is an amazing school my sons love the staff there and we hope to be seeing you guys next year too!”
“(My child) was not a camper but took the leadership development program which she found interesting and I could see the nice changes in her as a result - she suddenly took more initiative with getting things done, helped more around the house.”
