Bank Street Launches Brooklyn-Based Teacher Residency Program
Bank Street has launched a new residency program for aspiring teachers: the District 13 Residency in Childhood General and Special Education. In this two-year program, students will spend their first year as a resident teacher in one of NYCDOE’s public schools in Brooklyn, NY, earning a stipend and experiencing District 13’s anti-racist focus and commitment to culturally responsive practices. The program prepares you for initial teaching certification, offers a tuition scholarship, and culminates in a Master of Science in Education degree.
