Our Model
The Culture, Race, and Equity (CRE) team supports change on the personal, professional, and institutional levels through research and professional learning. Our approach is grounded in a number of theoretical frameworks: Culturally Responsive Sustaining-Education, developmentally and culturally appropriate practice, and adult learning theory.
We believe systems change begins with ongoing critical reflectivity and that achieving racial equity requires naming race in order to confront inequities, address systemic harm, and build more just and inclusive practices. Our CRE Change Model below guides our work with partners in building foundations and in creating organizational transformation.
