Rachel Bello

Managing Director, Advancement & Strategy

In her role as Managing Director of Advancement and Strategy, Rachel Bello supports strategic partnership design, concept development, and implementation planning across the Education Center.

Before joining the Ed Center, Rachel taught 11th- and 12th-grade English in New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) and then led a team in designing tools, professional learning experiences, and video resources for NYCPS’s Office of Teacher Effectiveness. Most recently, she worked as a senior consultant with Education First, a national education consulting organization. There, she specialized in helping foundations design and implement large scale policy-related projects and refine their giving strategies to have the greatest measurable impact.

Rachel received her AB in American History and Literature from Harvard University and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Brown University. The daughter of two career Massachusetts educators, she lives in Brooklyn and spends her free time thrift shopping, tending her many houseplants, and rooting for the Celtics with her husband and son.
