Elana Almaguer is a head teacher at Bank Street Head Start and has been teaching at the school for six years. As an educator, Elana’s goal is to motivate all children to realize their strengths and abilities in a stimulating learning environment. She is sensitive to the needs of all of her students and continuously strives to foster confidence in them and model enthusiasm for learning. Her experience includes 14 years of teaching at the pre-kindergarten level. Elana holds an MS in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College and a New York State Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood (birth-grade 2).
