Jeannette Garcia

Jeannette Garcia is the health coordinator/family worker at Bank Street Head Start. She started working at Bank Street in 2014 as an assistant teacher, then as a family worker, and has now moved into the family advocate/health coordinator position. Prior to Bank Street, she was a head teacher at Red Apple Preschool from 2005-14, where she taught children from 3-4 years old. While working at Red Apple Preschool, she was able to teach a reading class and a gifted and talented class for several years. Jeannette received her associate degree in early childhood education from Borough of Manhattan Community College and her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts/human services from The City College of New York.
