Maria Garcia is a head teacher at Bank Street Head Start and has been working in the education field for five years. She has a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College in Early Childhood Special Education and is currently enrolled in the Bilingual Special Education Program at Bank Street College. Maria is passionate about working with children that come from diverse cultural backgrounds and is interested in learning about their values. She enjoys supporting families and teaching them about Bank Street’s progressive educational model.
