Associate Director of Equity and Program Implementation, Center on Culture, Race & Equity; Project Manager, New York State Education Department’s Technical Assistance Partnership for Equity

Yakeisha is Associate Director of Equity and Program Implementation at the Center on Culture, Race & Equity and a project manager for the New York State Education Department’s Technical Assistance Partnership for Equity. As an early college graduate,  Yakeisha’s work with young children in schools, highlighted the need for educator supports in helping to create environments that  nurture children’s development. Since then, she has been involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs whose ultimate goal is to support educators in their work towards helping children thrive.

Yakeisha was born and raised in Mandeville, Jamaica and holds a master’s degree in Psychological Research from Bangor University in the UK.
