Michele Ryan

Michele joined the Emotionally Responsive Practice (ERP) team in 2021 and has worked in school communities in Flatbush, Harlem, the South Bronx, and Chelsea, in Manhattan.  Prior to her current work, Michele had a 22-year career at Bank Street Graduate School of Education that included co-chair of the General Education Department, Director of Early Childhood and Childhood Programs, supervised fieldwork advisor, and course instructor. Michele also worked for 11 years as an early childhood teacher and the in-house math and language arts staff developer in a Central Harlem public schools. Michele joined the ERP Team to help support the growing and critical social/emotional needs of children throughout New York City and beyond. Michele is dedicated to bringing trauma informed education, social justice, and equity to both children and families throughout school communities.
