The Center for Children’s Literature at Bank Street College of Education is thrilled to virtually present its third mini-conference focusing on Latinx children’s literature. This year’s program will focus on Mexican-American themes.

David Bowles will be our keynote speaker. David is the recipient of the Bank Street Children’s Book Committee’s, 2019 Claudia Lewis Award for Poetry for They Call me Güero as well as two Pura Belpré honors.  Other titles include the graphic novel, Rise of the Halfling King: Tales of the Feathered Serpent and The Chupacabras of the Río Grande part of the Unicorn Rescue Series, co-authored with Adam Gidwitz.

The conference will be in English and is created for Spanish and English-speaking librarians, elementary school teachers, publishers, authors, and parents who want to expand their knowledge and better serve their populations.
