Margaret has served as an advisor and instructor in the Early Childhood Special Education and Bilingual Programs at Bank Street Graduate School of Education. She spent 11 years teaching pre-K and kindergarten in dual language and inclusion settings. Her classroom design and practice was deeply informed by Bank Street’s developmental-interaction approach, as well as the work of Lesley Koplow and the work of Emotionally Responsive Practice. Margaret is a presenter and consultant to schools in New York City, Providence, RI, and beyond in the area of social studies, curriculum, and social-emotional practice. She is active in her children’s school communities. Margaret values reflective and collaborative practices for herself, and all adults, as a way to continuously grow towards becoming the most justice-oriented humans we can be. She holds a master’s degree from Early Childhood Bilingual General and Special Education from Bank Street Graduate School of Education.
