The Center for Children’s Literature is delighted to celebrate this half-a-century-old event with the wonderful Jerry Craft as its 2021 keynote speaker. Jerry Craft is the 2020 Newbery, Coretta Scott King, and Kirkus Prize winner for the graphic novel New Kid. Class Act, the sequel to New Kid, has received multiple starred reviews. Craft is also known for his syndicated newspaper comic strip, Mama’s Boyz.
