Margaret Wise Brown Board Book Award Ceremony
Description:
Join the Bank Street Children’s Book Committee for a virtual ceremony celebrating the winners of the inaugural Margaret Wise Brown Board Book Award. Give Me a Snickle! by Alisha Sevigny won in the 0-18 months range and Me and the Family Tree by Carole Boston Weatherford, illustrated by Ashleigh Corrin, won in the 18-36 months range.
The event program will include:
- Opening remarks by Bank Street College President Shael Polakow-Suransky, GSE ’00
- Keynote presentation by Dr. Perri Klass titled “Board Books in the Pediatric Exam Room: Something to Chew On”
- Panel discussion moderated by Rachel Payne titled “The Ones They Come Back To: What Makes a Best Board Book?”
- Acceptance speeches by the winning authors and illustrator
