Auditorium Renovation
At the heart of every great school is its gathering space
The Bank Street auditorium is more than a room. It’s where our community comes together to learn, celebrate, and connect. From student performances and assemblies to graduations and special events, the auditorium serves as a central gathering space for shared experiences.
As part of the Imagine Tomorrow capital campaign, we are renovating the auditorium to better support both learning and community engagement. Planned improvements include:
- Modern audiovisual and sound systems
- Enhanced lighting technology
- More comfortable seating with refreshed upholstery
- Updated aesthetics to create a welcoming, inspiring environment
These upgrades will ensure the auditorium continues to serve generations of students and families. Construction will begin in June 2027 with a goal of completing renovations in time for the start of the 2027-28 school year.
Benefits for Students and the School Community
Modernized technology and seating will transform the auditorium experience by providing:
- Clearer sound and improved visuals
- A more immersive experience for in-person and virtual audiences
- Expanded opportunities for student performances and presentations
- Greater comfort for students, families, and guests
These improvements will enhance student learning while strengthening community connections.
Name a Seat and Be Part of Bank Street History
Honor your connection to Bank Street by naming a seat, bench, or full row in the renovated auditorium. Our traditional bench seating will remain, with improved comfort and updated upholstery.
Seats may be named in honor of:
- Your Bank Street student(s)
- Your family
- Your graduating class (a wonderful group opportunity!)
- Beloved faculty and staff, past or present
Note: In accordance with our naming protocol, plaques will be installed after your last School for Children student graduates.
