Collection Development Policy

College Archives

The Bank Street College Archives contains the institutional records of Bank Street College of Education as well as historical materials relating to the College. The collection documents the history and evolution of the College from 1916 to the present. The Archives, housed at the College, supplements the general circulating collection of the Bank Street College Library by making rare or original materials available to the College community, scholars around the world, and the general public.

Collections & Acquisition Policy
The College Archives shall collect and maintain selected materials of enduring value that reflect the historical development or mission of the Bank Street College of Education. Final decisions regarding the selection of materials for permanent retention are the responsibility of the Archivist.
