Description:
Join the Center for Children’s Literature on Thursday, May 16 to celebrate the winners and honorees of the Irma Black Award and Cook Prize. This year, We Don’t Eat Our Classmates by Ryan T. Higgins received the Irma Black Award. Counting on Katherine: How Katherine Johnson Saved Apollo 13 by Helaine Becker, illustrated by Dow Phumiruk received the Cook Prize. Brian Floca, author/illustrator of Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11, will be our keynote speaker.
