Visitors FAQ

Visiting the Library

Before visiting the Library, check the Library’s Google Calendar or call 212-875-4564.

  • New York Metropolitan Area Visitors

Before your visit, ask for a Metro Referral Card from your college or local public library or consider becoming a Library Associate Member.

  • Visitors from Outside the New York Metropolitan Area

Students from colleges outside the New York metropolitan area are admitted upon presentation of a valid form of school identification. Other visitors should call 212-875-4564 for an appointment. Everyone must show identification upon entry to the building.

  • Library Associate Membership

If you would like to use the Library on a more extended basis, consider buying a Library Associate’s Card or ask about group membership for nonprofits. A Library Associates card costs $75.00 for four months and includes borrowing privileges but is ineligible for free interlibrary loan. Library Associates should notify the Library of any accompanying guests.

  • Group Membership for Nonprofits & Corporations

Please contact Kristin Freda at kfreda@bankstreet.edu or call 212-875-4558 for any questions regarding membership.
