The Bank Street Education Center is proud to announce the third cohort of its Principal Innovation Fellowship, a program that supports New York City public high school leaders in reimagining their schools to expand career-connected learning opportunities for students. In partnership with New York City Public Schools’ Future Ready NYC (FRNYC) initiative, the fellowship provides coaching, strategic guidance, and a collaborative learning community for principals who are leading efforts to prepare students for college, career, and lifelong success.
“We are excited to welcome this new cohort of leaders to the fellowship,” said Tracy Fray-Oliver, Vice President, Bank Street Education Center. “Together, they bring the vision, creativity, and commitment needed to transform schools into places where every student can thrive, connect their learning to the real world, and graduate prepared for a future full of opportunity.”
Liliana Polo-McKenna, Executive Director, Responsive Design, Bank Street Education Center, added, “The fellowship is built on the idea that principals are uniquely positioned to drive meaningful change in their schools. By supporting them with coaching, connecting them to a network of peers leading similar efforts, and access to best practices, we are helping leaders create and sustain the conditions for career connected learning experiences that open doors for students now and in the future.”
Through the fellowship, principals engage in individualized coaching, peer learning, and opportunities to visit model schools as they work to create sustainable pathways that align with student interests and emerging workforce needs. Over the course of the program, fellows will strengthen advisory systems, deepen industry and higher education partnerships, and develop innovative approaches to school leadership that expand real-world learning opportunities.
