Giving Day Strengthens Support for Bank Street’s Mission

Each year, Giving Day highlights the collective impact of the Bank Street community and its belief in building a more just and equitable world through learning.

This year, Giving Day saw a record-breaking level of support, with more than 269 donations from across the community totalling more than $105,000 to Bank Street.

“It’s always inspiring to see our community come together in support of Bank Street,” said Jeremy Wells, Director of Annual Funds. “Giving Day is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish through collective generosity and a shared commitment to education.”

Gifts made on Giving Day will provide critical support for the Bank Street School for Children, Graduate School of Education, and the Bank Street Annual Fund. These contributions help sustain innovative teaching and learning, expand access through financial aid and scholarships, and strengthen partnerships with schools and districts nationwide.

To build momentum, the development office led a dynamic digital campaign that engaged supporters across multiple platforms and reinforced Bank Street’s mission and impact. This year’s campaign also featured a $50,000 matching gift challenge, made possible by the generous donation of a Bank Street community member, which encouraged participation and amplified the impact of each donation.

“Giving Day is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the generosity of our community,” said Marcela Hahn, Vice President of Development. “The enthusiasm we see each year reflects a strong commitment to ensuring high-quality education for all learners.”
